Welcome
Greetings. Many of us in the living history community are familiar with the fabric wonderland that is Needle & Thread at 2215 Fairfield Road in Gettysburg, PA. They have been a destination and a source for those who want to make their own period clothing, and Darlene & Herman Grube are always pleasant folks to deal with.
Unfortunately, it was recently noticed that an entire box of logwood-dyed linen thread spools, a specialty item that has little appeal beyond the insular living history community, was stolen from their store. As reenactors across the country keep a sharp lookout for the stolen goods, there has been an outpouring of support for the Grubes, and a desire to help them recoup the estimated $800 loss to their business.

Marc Hermann of the Liberty Rifles has created this website as a means for people to show their support and donate what they can.
Donors names will be recorded, and a list of them presented along with a combined check. It is our hope to present it by Remembrance Day, unless $800 is raised sooner.
